I remember attending the “Together Forever” concert at Madison Square Garden in 1987 where Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys performed live. Imagine this… over 20,000 people holding shell-toe Adidas in the air, waving them like they just didn’t care! That was the day I fell in love with hip-hop. I knew every single lyric from the “Raising Hell” and “Licensed To Ill” albums. Last night, I had the opportunity to open up for the Beastie Boys at the “Music Has Power” benefit in New York City. For nearly 2 hours, I felt like a b-boy all over again.
